'Do Not Lament' - A Comforting Poem

I was chatting with a friend online a couple of months ago and they mentioned that it must be difficult for me, having some of my health issues and such. I wrote a poem to comfort her.


I think it helped.

Do not lament,
the burdens thrust upon me by life.

Examine the ledger more closely.

Seek to find the common denominator,
and the balance will reveal itself to you.

These things that bind me,
are mine.

When or where it was begun,
was not my choice,
but ever after,
was.

The accumulation of life,
the revelation of personal limitation,
is the thing itself.

This poem thought about continuing.

- - - - - - -

I do not lament,
my non-pursuit of wealth,
my failing health,
...

- - - - - - -

But I crossed that off and left it as is.

Is Slytherin house bad? Should they be bad? Why? Intro There are four houses in "Harry Potter": Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Each is associated with certain psychological traits and attributes. Fighting Local Government Corruption - Part 1 of ?

In Dalton Township, Michigan we currently have corrupt and dishonest government officials attacking small farms and businesses. It recently came to my attention that the farm that I get goat milk from has been sued by a neighbor and the township. There are three tactics that they have tried to use against Hidden Creek Farm so far. The owners of the farm explain the situation well. Pro-Global Warming

I'm in favor of global warming. Overall, I think it would be a good thing. Let's look at a few points. Here's the basic idea. Can the climate stay the same? No. If you think the weather can stay the same then I would ask you to try to get back in contact with reality in whatever manner you may choose, going outside or looking at history are two decent ideas. Notice that I said climate in one sentence and weather in another sentence, but I used them in a similar way. Many people that like to sell the idea of the apocalypse through climate change like to point out that weather and climate are not the same thing. True, weather is short term and climate is long term. Climate is long weather. Climate is to weather as cat is to kitten. It's not like people are making a giant leap when they think the two are somewhat related.
